What is done during the PDI?

The reason I ask is that my car G37S coupe was prepared terribly. As I mentioned in another thread, the paint was loaded with swirls and scratches, and the dealer was unable to fix it. $935 to fix.

The car still had plastic in the wheels, under the doors, inside the trim etc.
There was a piece of foam sticking out of the seat, where the leather wasn't folded correctly.

Two weeks after I noticed that the window was making noise. It turns out that the door panel was loose, clips were missing, and the handle was not fully attached. It seems that Boomerang (security system) which was installed at the dealers, reassembled the door using the wrong screws. This should have been caught.

Finally (maybe not) last night I washed my car and guesss what? It was missing a lugnut from the wheel! This was the locking nuts that were put on by the dealer during the delivery. This is the last straw!!

SO, tomorrow I will take my carr back to the dealer and insist that a mechanic look over the car and check that everything that was supposed to be done during the PDI, has been done.
Can anyone tell me what is usually done before delivery so that I can check things out??

Wow, I'd certainly let them have an earful. I'm not sure what all they are supposed to do but mine definitely still has torn plastic pieces all in the trim that I am slowly getting rid of. They also left a whole piece of plastic protection on the b-pillar....

There is a factory pdi check sheet that they are SUPPOSED to follow. Absolutely should ck every switch, test drive , remove all protective wraps etc. Maybe you can get a copy of the PDI Check List????

I guess they should have one. I'm just wondering if there is anything they needed to do to things like the oil, tranny etc. This is inexcusable.
