Brake Concern on New G37

Hey everyone...im new here... Just want to get some opinions on my situation. I just bought a g37 premium a couple weeks back. I had a feeling they did a rushed job on the PDI. Immediately I was noticing a grinding feedback from the brakes as if there was something stuck on the rotors when the the brake pads were clamping. I brought it back and I was right, so they said they replaced the to front rotors and serviced the brake pads, since they said there was some "sheen" on the rotors. I am still noticing a little bit of feedback from the brakes, but definitely not to the same degree. Is this normal? or what else can it be??? help is greatly appreciated!

Check the pad to rotor contact patch. I don't think PDI's require brake checks but there may be some sort of debris or gravel or something.

Thumbs down

bottom line G37 rotors suck *****.. you do any kind of mid pressure braking over 100mph and thats it rotors are warped, and they get worse and worse, so i took em off and got em resurfaced like a week ago and they were butter smooth, went away on vacation right after, finally drove the car again last night and 1st medium brake i did over 100mph its back and u feel it in the steering wheel.. anything 80mph u wont feel it unless u do a couple hard breaks. so i guess i will be looking into drilled rotors to keep em cool since heat is pretty much the cause of warpage ..i see why everyone upgrades to 10piston breaks.. cough neverbonestock cough .. guess ill be next..

Well i dont feel it in the steering wheel. I Feel it even when stopping from 40-0. I made an appointment for this week. So I will have to see what they are going to do. I am pretty disappointed to be honest.

Not sure where you are located, but if you are by a pep boys and are comfortable taking the rotors off yourself, you can take them into pep boys and they will resurface them for 15 bucks. You said the dealer took care of it, but for next time...now you will know.

So no big brakes?
I have never had a grinding issue or warpage problem with my S brakes, and I have done some very spirited driving and high speed braking for hours at a time.
