Probably, but usually somewhere on the packaging it will say "replaces CR2032" (or whatever battery it replaces). Mind you I haven't tried to look for our key fob battery yet, but it does on camera batteries if memory serves me right.

My light has been on for about 8 months now without any problems, and it still looks like its about 2/3 full. Its pretty annoying how early the light comes on.

I did replace the drivers side key hole cover with a passenger side cover, so I have no exposed key hole. Since they are pretty small, I just keep a replacement battery in my wallet. I'll be interested in seeing how long it take for my battery to actually die after the light has been on for so long

Check with your other I-key and see if you have the same problem.

I have the same problem - I replaced each of my key batteries today CR2032's and my indicator in the vehicle still shows "F" "E" full/empty indicator warning... Does this usually take time to go away? Shouldn't it be instant with a new battery?

The next day I didn't have the battery indicator show up, so I guess it takes a time or two to notice the new battery.

I was in a dollar store getting some New Year's noise makers and they had a 3-pack of the CR2032 batteries for $1. Go figure.

I have the key hole delete also. i wish our cars would charge our remotes via the fob hole in the car while driving. will never need to buy another battery. so far my battery is still good.

Annoyed at my battery indicator. It is always on every time I get in my car for the first minute or so then goes away. So I got my spare key that has never been used and tried that. Same thing happened, low key battery indicator for 30 seconds to a minute then went away.

Any ideas?

I never had the battery indicator light until after the last dealer visit. So, I'm blaming it on the dealer.

Even if you are not using the key, the battery is still draining. Even if it just sits in a drawer. Replace them both and this should slove your problem.
