Hey before i bring my IV G37s auto to the dealer, i was wondering if this problem or little glitch happen to any of you..

About 2-3 weeks ago, im driving up a very steep and winy hill.. and i see my e-brake light come on.. the "brake" light turn on.. and i slow down immediately cuz if it is my e-brake i dont wanna burn it out.. well i put my foot on my ebrake and its all the way up.. meanwhile.. as i came to a complete stop it turned off.. then i checked the ebrake and yata yata.. then i started to go up the steep hill and ebrake "brake" light came on and i stopped and did what i did again.. and the same thing happen, it turned off.. well i started to move again and it came on again!.. and i kept going.. all of a sudden my "slip" and "vdc off" lights come on and my ebrake "brake" light goes off.. and i try to turn on my vdc and it doesnt work.. well mind you.. i thought it was jus that day.. well since that day.. any slight hill i go onto it does that..

As i started to pay more attention to what happens. The ebrake "brake" comes on around 3rd gear.. like immediately i enter 3rd gear.. the light comes on which my car then is at around 3krpm.. and thats where it happens.. which then tiggers the "Slip" and "VDC off" lights .. these slip and vdc off lights only trigger if i keep going at the 3krpm or faster..

So idk.. it doesnt effect my driving or anything just kind of ****ing annoying that there are lights on my dash.. one of my pevs........

So i thought to post on myg37 considering there is a lot of people that know a lot about the car before i send this car to infiniti and tell them off cuz they prob tell me.. NOTHING is wrong.. HAHA :-D

 

The brake light is not only for the parking brake. It also comes on when for any brake system related issue and since it's during steep uphill I would first check your brake fluid. If it's low the light will come on.

BTW if your ebrake as on the car will warn you as soon as you drive above 4MPH with an alert in the center red display.

 

Yeah I would just bring that into the dealer. Either you have a brake issue or some of the wires for your ecu are crossed...

 

You should have wrote IX, cause IX = 9
IV = 4

ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS CHANGE ur brakes thats it

 

check your brake fluids

 

 

I just had this happen after a hot day at the track. The brake fluid was halfway between the min and max lines, so I assumed I had enough.
Later, I topped it off to near the max line and lights went away.
(BTW, it went out on me at the track and I lost VDC in a curve where I was counting it. Quite a surprising spin out .

anyways to help you.. just try to reset ur ECU.. i used to have check engine lights on but i didnt take it to dealer.. i just reset the ECU and the check engine light is gone and it didnt came back until now..

this has happened to me before, check your brake fluid, mine was really low and when I added more all that stopped. Like I said I had the same exact thing happen.
