Front Plate Success!!

I've had a retractable plate for quite some time now, but had originally installed it on the bottom of the bumper. This was fine until I lowered the car and scraped it to hell and back. Eventually I took it off as it didn't operate smoothly any longer.

Finally I had the idea to locate the retractable plate in a safer location. Plus the plate wouldn't fit on the bottom of the front bumper with the TS-P lip...

See below for the pics and an animated GIF.

Animated GIF of the retractable plate in action

Plate retracted

Closeup of modification needed to fit plate.

That's cool! Mayb now I can get some bumper plug and graduate to the retractable plate. you'll have to do a DIY on this one when you get a chance.

Nice. I would do that in a heartbeat if the dealers hadn't pre-drilled every bumper on the lot when I got mine.
