Yeah I agree with black betty. What is the point of giving out car washes in the first place if there not gonna do it right and just mess up your paint. You just fail to realize that the dealership are nothing without customers. Why do you think all these dealerships are going out of business because customers are not buying their cars. Here in Dallas 80% of people told me sewell infiniti was the best dealer here in tx so I took their word and went to get a quote and what happen the salesman was and *** lied did everything worst to me even though they offered me a lower price I didnt buy it from them because of the experience and the same thing goes with car washes. If your gonna get a bad experience from a place do you plan on washing your car in the future with them when the free car washes run out. I sure is hell don't and hell I would of paid full price even it as 50 dollars that day but now I'm glad that it was free and don't plan on going to a dealership again. rather go to my local car wash place pay them what ever price they want and get a good quality job.
I understand your point. BTW, I do have 2 members of my gym who never work out but live on a boat and come in almost every day just to use the shower and eat the free fruit I put out daily. True story. They pay their membership every month just like everyone else.
I have 3 big screen HDTV's on the walls and a 17" personal HD LCD mounted on every piece of cardio equipment with full satellite channel lineup and Sirius radio. Yet I have people bitch becaue I dont have premium channels like HBO, I don't buy NFL Sunday ticket, and I charge $2 for earbuds if they've forgotten theirs!
No matter what level of service is provided, I can guarantee somebody will be dissatisfied. I think where wwe differ in our opinions is that you feel the free car was without purchasing any service is an "extra" and I feel it is a reasonable expectation when dealing with a luxury brand dealership. Some dealerships around this area use free car washes for life in advertising as an enticement to come in and buy. They do it for free to get you into the dealership and see the new models and want one or to be impressed with the cleanliness and efficiency of the service department or buy some ot the Stillen performance parts hanging on the wall in the parts department. I believe that whether you are buying anything else or not, it should be of decent quality and not F-up yor paint worse. I don't expect it to be a $150 detail, just a decent wash that doesn't scratch and swirl your paint where people use the right products and techniques. Or they could hire or contract to a real detailer on staff and make it a profit center by offering real detailing service through the dealership, but don't ever half *** it and harm my paint. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

That s2k costs more than a C-Class >.< In fact, I was asking myself why I'm paying more for a Honda than I did for my G... (hell, even the sticker price on my s2k is higher than most G sedans...)
@Black-Betty: I totally agree... there will ALWAYS be those that are dissatisfied. We have customers that will stop by for free donuts/pastries and coffee... and JUST that. Maybe we should charge a membership fee too
What's wrong with Honda?

Business 101: It's a lot more cost effective to keep an existing customer than it is to create a new one. Free positive advertising from currently satisfied customers costs a lot less than paying for radio and TV spots.
The repeat customer that we sell the car to at a few hundred over cost?
Most of the mooches are customers that came here for service once and discovered we have freebies for the customers... I do believe the FOUR (4) people I know of that are such mooches didn't actually purchase the car from us.
I recently sold a car to a guy that is a financial consultant that owns multiple businesses on the side. He couldn't understand how dealerships run on such slim margins. (~6% profit margin from invoice to sticker, ~7% if you count holdback, gross, before overhead, staffing, etc). After some discussion, he saw how a dealership could break even, or have a small profit, but he still maintained that the ROI on a dealership is absolutely terrible.
He purchased the car at 500 over; his offer with the justification that everyone has to make some money to stay in business.
One of the easiest deals I've ever worked, and the guy gave me a great survey to boot.

Nothings wrong with Honda, Im just pointing out the fact that a S2k is about the same price as a C class and like some even say, its more than the price of some G sedan even coupes. So why be so snobby and think that your all that driving an Infiniti G? Its just an upper scale Nissan, People nowadays, " I need loaner car, I need pick up and drop off service, I need free carwash, I need starbucks at the waiting room, I need this and that. I pointed out a s2k cause Honda doesnt even provide loaner cars, or do they have pick up service. Just appreciate what you get, If you feel its not to your specs, dont use that service.
She said that we told her we give loan cars for service. I agreed and said that we give loan cars for any warranty work that takes longer than an hour, and for any major service.
She then continued to say that she'll go to another dealership since they'll give her a loaner for her free oil change. Now, keep in mind that no So-Cal Infiniti dealer will give a loaner for just an oil change unless you pay for it.
Oh, and we give free services with a car if you purchase from US... she said she called the other dealership and they didn't know anything about free oil changes... I had to explain to her that WE do the first 3 services for free at OUR dealership.
Keep in mind that everything I explained to her was on paperwork that she signed

Gotta love customers

Funny, cuz I JUST got off the phone with a customer that wanted a loan car for her oil change.
She said that we told her we give loan cars for service. I agreed and said that we give loan cars for any warranty work that takes longer than an hour, and for any major service.

BTW I'm not a picky person actually I'm a person that can be easily satisfy but if the job was this bad (which I should of taken picturs of) I'm never coming to the dealer again even if they said they would give me free money.
Mike and I are going to start our own Infiniti dealership cross country. It's nice when we chat and just compare how bad some mooshes really are -- will complain just to get a free oil change... they'll complain about $3 off for a oil change, or $2/month just because they don't want splash guards.... or even if they do'nt get a "free" hat
