What exactly is the difference between an 08 and 09? I know the transmission is different for the auto (5AT/7AT). I'm checking out the site and building my G37 and its $3 Grand more than the 08 model. Any ideas? I added the same options as the 08 one. The 08 was around $45grand while the 09 was around $48grand. I'm wondering this because my G35 might be totalled (link from g35driver site: http://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coup...-accident.html) and I'm thinking of upgrading if anything.

get the 09, even if you have to wait until close to spring next year to actually get the exact one you want (like me).

the wait is difficult, but 7AT, scratch shield, and even shock sensor FTMFW!

the 09's security system has a shock sensor? thats very impressive. nice to have that kinda thing as OEM since the Viper systems force us to carry an extra Viper remote.

Shumby if you drive Auto I would opt for the 09 because the 7AT's mileage is noticeably better, especially on the RWD. I dont know if you're in the market for an AWD, given that you're up in Montreal that may be a worthy consideration too. The only way I would recommend sticking with the 08 for the price savings is if you're getting 6MT because that is the least changed model and comes with Sport package by default. (The 09 AWD does not have a Sport package option).

i believe the sensor is actually labeled a glass breakage sensor. not really the old shock sensors for when your car is bumped into but i may be wrong.

agreed if going auto, definitely wait for the 09 unless saving $ is your biggest priority. less depreciation, more aggressive gearing, better high end mileage, etc. just the waiting sucks.
