08 or 09?
'09. Don't forget that it has better paint. I've seen too many G's sitting on the lots with fingernail scratches all over the exterior doors but the inside is still covered in plastic. NIssan is notorious for soft paint and the '09 finally addresses that issue.
Unless you were looking for a deal (50k? You should buy in the states), you should go with the 2nd generation. 7AT is going to have better gas mileage in the long run. I don't think it will have hybrid gas mileage but over time, 1-2mpg improvement starts to pay dividends. Full voice command might also be there and if it is in the '09 (it was stripped from the '08 unless you had a early Vin date and got lucky) that alone would sway me.
I'd test drive both. That's the only way to get a feel for the 5AT vs. 7AT.

well I am home on the 22nd I will go have a caht with the dealer. As for buying in the states I thought about it but the dollor is low now so not a good time. Plus i like to buy local help local businesses.
My suggestion, Shumby would be to not have a cat with the dealer. Then you have to feed it and take care of it
I understand why you wouldn't want to buy anything in the US now, nobody else is buying anything here either, including those that live here.
