Hey guys! currently i have 1100 miles on my new g and i am wondering is it bad to go do my 1st service check before my 1,200 break in period? and am i suppose to go to my 1st service around 1200 miles on my car?

Just change the oil/oil filter... I waited til after I broke in my car to change the oil... At about 1250 or so... But i don't think it would make a world of a difference if you changed it 100 miles prior...

 

I did the normal 1,200 break in but I did not change the oil or filter until 3750 miles. No problems for me.

 

Couldn't hurt to go ahead and change your oil after ~1100 miles, no need to wait til 1200 the break-in period is long over. Get it changed now and again at 3750 and so forth.

 

Doing it early wont hurt, but doing it too late is not reccomended. Congrats on finishing the break-in period! Now we can have some fun ;]

 

i didn't service until the first oil change... so yeah

 

hahahaha i broke in my car the first week i got my car. Going over 100 during the first week. Was just so excited to have the car. Got my first oil change around 3900 miles. My car is a lease so not worry about the long run don't plan on keeping the car.
