Has anyone had any consistent rattling in their car. I've recently noticed a slight creeky sound coming from somewhere in the rear backseat drivers side. The only way to describe it is like when you turn on your AC and the dash "adjusts"...expands or contracts to the temp....very slight but noticeable. BTW...it's not just on bumpy roads...it'll sort of crackle like every 5 -10 seconds. Can't pinpoint where it's coming from. At first, thought maybe the seatbelts...so I hooked the seatbelts in...wasn't it. In addition, I lowered the backseat. One thing I noticed that when I push on the passenger side speaker deck..nice and solid. On the driver side...creaky. I don't think this is the cause...but it just bugs me. Will have dealer check it out sometime soon...in the meantime...all I can do is turn up the stereo volume.

 

Get a friend to sit back there and figure out where it is!

I had some rattling sounds coming from the passenger side when I go over bumpy road... got a friend to sit in the passenger seat and figured out it's the washi alumimun part of the dash, pushed on it and the noise went away!

 

I get a creaky sound from the roof area on the driver's side when i go over bumps and stuff like that. I'm just hoping its parts of the break-in period and not something that will stay forever.

 

Had a very obvious creaking sound from my sunroof when the car was unleveled (turning up into and down out of a driveway, steering left to right on a street where their is a gutter in the middle). Took it to dealer. Dealer said they had to retorque and lube. All good after.

On my old corolla, I had the same problem. It was a creaking sound, and it was only coming from 1 side of the car, thought it was from rear pillar. It got worse and worse, and i got it checked and the rear windsheild was coming unseated.

They took a day to replace and reseal and, and it's since been gone.

 

I have 05g35 coupe 30,000 miles
also have retorque and lupe .... under front end very 6 months
that still happens to 08s
