Ive had my car for about 1yr3mos and just a week or 2 ago I got my battery notification - however the charge is shown as about 3/4 full. I wonder why such an early notice? I am only going to worry about it when it gets down to the last notch. I don't know if Im imagining it but it does seem to have less range now that it's less than full power. I'm probably imagining it though. The battery is no big deal, just take the OEM one out, run to radio shack, buy the same battery there. $5-7 tops.

Yeah, Doesn't make sense why it comes on so early (i.e. still 50-75% charge left). I should come on when you have 25% left.

Precisely - a notification of 80% battery left on my i-Key is the least of our worries, right BJ? We got 99 problems and our i-Key ain't one.

Yuppers. I gotta read up in the manual tonight to make sure I understand it. Wonder if there is a way to turn off then notification after you get it. For example, I don't give a **** right now if I have 75% battery life left, but remind me at 50% and 25%, not every time I get in the ****ing car.

My notification did not give me a percentage of battery life left, only a low remote battery icon. Where are the rest of you finding out how much of the life is left?

Replaced mine this weekend, $3 for a pair at Lowes. The indicator is difficult to interpret, whether it means 75% or 25% remaining, or whether it is simply a graphic.

I understand wanting to turn it off, it is annoying, but mine always disappeared after a couple of minutes.

Well I decided to go look through the manual online to prove everyone who is saying the port doesn't charge the key wrong.

I can't find it, so I have no idea where I got the idea that the port charges the key from.

Maybe the dealer fed me a line when I bought the car.

From what I've seen in the manual, contrary to what I previously thought, the port DOES NOT charge the key.
