Yes our rides are rather Quick, And can get us into trouble quite easily, If one is not paying attention. This is why my first mod was the Escort 9500ci!.........................We need all the help we can get!

Agreed. That's a late-80s / early-90s thing to do. However, it's up to you -- your car, you use what you think works best.
I think black (not matted) or even gold to really set white off. (But I fear gold rims today will be played out very shortly ...)

Just to put things in perspective a litte, a 1990 Ferrari Testarosa runs a 6.2 and 14.5 and was considered a super car.
Cars now have gotten incredibly fast in the last decade.
I am sorry but I dont think people realize how much faster cars are in the last decade and I do consider a car that can run in the 13s at stock to be very fast.
It is not Porsche GT-3, Z06, GT-R fast both those are cars that cost a lot more money and your insurance premium will be 3 times as high and this car works as a nice daily driver.
The S model certainly would be a good track car with the hp and cornerning. I do have concerns about the weight though.

335i is running around 4.8s to 60mph and low 13's in the quarter I believe.
I am currently trying to decide between the G37s and a 335i and it's tough. The one advantage the 335i has is 30 extra lb/ft torque starting from 1,400 rpm. It is really fast anywhere in the rev range according to my butt dyno. I have driven both and would think the G37s would lose that race every time.
However, the G37s is better looking (IMO), has a much nicer interior (again, IMO), and is about $12,000 less in Canada similarly equiped. It's pretty hard to ignore all of that... plus the BMW isn't all that reliable from what I hear. What good is the speed and the engine if it's in the shop with a fuel pump failure. It's a tough choice but I think I'm leaning towards the G37s at this point.

I looked at the IS350 too, show stopper for me was the frame between front door and rear got in the way getting in the car with the seat all the way back like I'd like. That and the interior and tech is better on the G37.
