guys - im pretty sure the reason your car is switching to ipod is that when your car is off for a little while, your ipod will turn off as well.
When you turn your car back on, it gives the ipod the "message" to turn on as well (which takes between 5-15 seconds), and when the ipod turns on, the car recognizes it as "just being plugged in" and just like when a cd is put in, the system switches to cd mode, so too with the ipod mode...
make sense?

makes sense xfactor, but I'm not convinced that it's "working as designed". If it were, this would happen more frequently, instead of happening intermittently. It's something I can live with though. I'm just glad my car isn't haunted.
weird i dont have the issue with the radio switching but if i am listening to a song on my ipod and just turn off the car. when i turn the car back on it doesnt play the song. i have to hit play again and it starts over....
