Already in for warranty repair

So one morning I'm driving to work... and the car feels really sluggish, and is cutting off fuel at 3,500 rpm. Check engine light proceeds to turn on.

Funny thing is, that morning, as I turned on the car, the audio system suddenly changed from playing the AM radio to iPod (without me doing anything).

Took it to the dealership... turns out it was a faulty Air flow sensor, which triggered limp mode, turned on the CEL and threw the fault codes.

I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

BTW, my car had about 400 miles on it when this occured.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Same here. Only warranty work done so far has only been the axle chirp.

It's a rather common (can't say that it's normal) problem some of us have/had. When I used to go from N to 1st or N to reverse, I could hear a high pitch ping/chirping sound coming from the rear with the window rolled down. Took it in and it just needed some lubrication.

I took my car in for the same thing. They more or less told me that Nissan was having the same issue w/ the Titan. It was not a "known" Infiniti problem at the time I took my car in. He said there was no fix for it right now and they were working on it. He recommended I disconnect my ipod to eliminate the problem.

The MAF sensor is very delicate and they are susceptible to damage during install. It's a very easy fix but an expensive part. I wouldn't worry about it effecting the overall quality of your paticular car, it probaby just was intstalled slightly damaged or dirty.

actually mine does that too and its annoying even if radio was the last thing i had on..i think mabe it started doing it now ever since ive had the composite AV cables hooked into the inputs in the armrest - maybe thats why it has some stupid intelligence thing to go to it by default

My car is doing the same thing, switching to iPod about 5 seconds after I turn the car on. Super annoying.
