So true. There is some snow on the ground for the 6th week in a row here in KC and its treacherous driving my G on it. Unfortunately I have to do so. It just means I'm extra careful. The only time I leave VDC on is when there is snow out
.
If you haven't experienced it, it is truly nasty. However bad you think the G37s summer tires might be in snow or ice, it is worse.
Fortunately, in Vegas, that is not an issue for me (now that I got my car home). Rain, however, can be pretty bad too if it doesn't rain that often where you live. Here it gets super oily after a rare rain.

vince dont worry about it man. You have to stay calm. Im a new driver when it comes to stick, and i barely stall. You might be trying to do to much off the start. To start barely touch the gas, and realese the clutch SLOW, then when u give it more gas let off the clutch a bit faster. Start off really slow just to start moving or rolling and u would get the hand of it.
If i was you i would find a flat surface and find the spot on the clutch where it gasp. You do this without pressing the gas. YOU DO NOT PRESS THE GAS just realese the clutch and when u get to a certain part of the realese your car would start to go foward. When it starts to go foward thats when you give it gas.
When you get a chance you should read the review on 6mt posted near the bottom of the forum. It helps trust me.

Yea, don't get discouraged. I think someone's mentioned before that the G is not the easiest stick to learn if you've never driven a stick before. If you have a friend that knows how to drive a stick, have him tag along when you go practice. But it's all about practice and getting the FEEL for it, given that you understand the mechanics.
Just curious, what state/area are you located?

my problem is really at take-off. after that its really easy, grant you not butter smooth, but i dont stall.
.
btw. is it possible to stall on reverse ? haha. cuz i MANAGED to back my car out today, and didnt stall at all. so just wondering.
.
funny story. i got stuck on a fairly steep driveway today. kept stalling and coudlnt get the car back into the garage. so just had to wait for family help. =\
.
im gooing to go ahead and take some damn lessons.
Yes, it's possible to stall on reverse. Hills can be tough because you'd really need to know the point of engagement well.
Good luck!!

Don't even press the gas yet....barely release the clutch until you feel the car move then barely press on the gas and let go of the clutch....that's how I learned after I stalled twiced in a manual.
ima a nervous reck in reverse. that was my hardest part but now im getting it down. I dont stall anymore.. i only stalled the first night, then when i was under pressure like the 2nd day. But i its awesome. Trust me your ganna love the 6sp
question for you pros.
do we have a creep gear ? as in when i shift to first and not give it gas at all, does the car creep sloooowly without stalling ? i wouldnt know because my left foot's got a mind of its own.
.
