Can anyone tell me what the "VOICE" button does. It is located to the right of the "BACK" button on the contol pannel below the nav screen.

 

I believe it is for voice commands. It is also located on the steering wheel.

 

I thought that too but it don't work it does nothing for me and I cann see nothing in the manual. My wifewould like to use it as just that a voice button for her while a pasanger but so far it does nothing.

 

I thought it would make the navi repeat the turn directions again.

 

Do they put that button there even without Nav? Might explain why its not doing anything when you press it. I played around with the feature on a Nav car and its actually a big part of why I got that package.

 

Yep, that's correct. It is only used to repeat voice guidance directions and doesn't initiate any voice command features. And no, this button doesn't exist on the non-nav equipped units.

So this button is different from the button that you can input voice commands like "tempurature 65" or whatever?

 

maybe its for the bluetooth when using the cel phone ??

we all be wishing for a LISTEN button, but I guess the G isn't unlike some humans in that regard ... there isn't one. On the other hand, if you think the nav voice is sexy ... "Please come here ..." (imagination ), press the VOICE button as much as you like .
