G37 Repair...

Hmmm....well I picked up my car Thursday the 23rd, and had it for 3 days before the unthinkable happened. Someone broke the passenger side mirror off my car while it was parked in a covered parking lot (part of the apartment complex I live in). This is a very nice complex with a lot of nice (even nicer) cars around it, and they picked my car! I don't think it was a car because there wasn't any paint transfer, no dent in the car, nothing beside the mirror hanging on the side like a bird's broken wing...looking all sad and pathetic.

Man I cannot express the emotions I felt walking to my car sunday afternoon and seeing that sight. Well I have Progressive insurance and they fixed everything, including minor paint markings on the door in 2 days. Awesome service. Now my baby is back. Maybe I should mount a gun rack on the damn thing so people will beware...

Dang these stories suck... Seems like a new car becomes a sudden magnet for door dings, bird crap, road kill, curb rash ,etc. It also seems the more careful you are, the more things happen.

Sorry to hear about your pain(s).

Okay, you guys are scaring me with these stories. I almost don't want to drive in on the "road" anymore.

On second thought, I pray to the G God that it's just your luck that all that stuff is happening to you so why not just hope for the best.

You might as well get the intial dent over with....I don't know of a single car that has gone unscathered.....mine(G35) was perfect until someone couldn't take it anymore and keyed the whole drivers side (I'm sorry I shouldn't have brought it up....pray every night)

Sorry to hear about that! Not the kind of story you want to hear. Glad to hear that you babies back on the road however. I'm sure after a couple good runs, it will be all forgotten.

I'm getting paranoid now. I'm thinking more seriously about installing a covert camera system inside the car to catch these types of jealous buggers. Either they pay for the damage or they are getting a criminal record. We work hard and save long for our toys, why the need for this behaviour?

I have Progressive as well and I agree they are a great company to work with. Someone reareneded me in my G35 a few weeks back. The accident happened on Monday, my car was fixed by Thursday.
