Da_Mayer.. can you confirm if the new g37 will have the ability to view and/or control an ipod via the nav screen? I was told by another member that they saw a photo of this in the dealership g37 book... quote below.

we won't know if it will display on the nav screen.

currently the FX and QX56 both have the iPod adapter accessory wire that charges your iPod as well as enable you to change the songs and folders via steering wheel factory controls , and display the title on the screen ..... it should be able to be an accessory but nothing has been officially released yet

Thanks for the quick reply on that. I didnt know other Infiniti cars had the ability to view/control iPods. Knowing that.. i think we'll get it on the g37 as i heard mention of all 08+ inifinitis getting ipod control.

My wife's Odyssey Touring has the ipod adapter that plays through the XM controls. It's rather barbaric, but works. I also own a xB(no joking now...)with the factory integrated ipod hookup with full control and display. That thing rocks. Getting the ipod to display on the G37 NAV and have any kind of touch control over that would be fantastic, but I doubt it's gonna happen.

I think this resumes what happenned pretty well. People shouldn't have posted here, we have other dealership on the forum.

Here's hoping the G37 integrated iPod won't make you choose between sat (std with G37) or iPod. I would hate to be listening to the iPod then hit a traffic jam. In order to get XM Traffic, I would have to fumble and reach around to unplug the iPod in order to be able to switch to XM.
