i'll probably wait another year before I trade her up.... if it happens sooner, it probably be a 2nd year 335. I like 2nd year models, give them 1 year to work out the kinks.

I never understood why people wait for an older model to "perfect" the last years bug.

No matter what, there will always be something better out there; particularly every year.

Im sure the 2010 Coupe will be even more "perfected" than the 09 was to the 08.

If you want it, speaking in general, just get it.

^we are talking about same generation car.
I am so glad that I bought 05 coupe instead of 03-04 or 06-07
So it's same cars-looks same, but at the same time it's more perfected and much much better in so many way.
So what you are saying is true, but when you flip the coin over it's totally diff side of the same exact coin.

Once I see it @ the NY auto show, I'll go put a deposit down. I'm not putting down any money till I know exactly what it looks like and what it's got in it. Not that it really matters, cause I'll get it anyway.

I'll be happy that they made a nice car even better with the next gen. I'm pretty sure i'll pick one up in several years.

I still have to wait and see the final car, but, it certainly looks very promising. I will probably wait a bit until the first-on-the-block-fever dies down a bit.

After all, I have been waiting a long time for this car to come out, so I can wait a bit longer (it will be either this, or a project I have been thinking about for a very long time, but wanted to see how this car came out first).

It will come down to weight, MT transmission feel and tq numbers for me (in that order), as I am confident it will be one of the better looking cars on the road.

Im also talking about the same generation car.

If you notice, the 03-04<05<06-07 in our current generation car.

It's always going to get better, with some minor fixes and additions.

There's no point in waiting.

If [the person] can buy it when it becomes available this summer/fall, and likes it, he should just buy it.

I agree with your opinion with the exception of the TQ Numbers.

Additional torque obviously feels nice, but if you care about performance, that's not necesarilly the number you should be worried about.

Physics never lies

Now I REALLY can't wait 'till April!

I actually do care more about feel than track time (or ego-boosting board banter). Most of my time driving is spent in the lower RPMs, so torque is very important to me. Besides hp and tq are directly related -- it just is a good indicator where in the RPM band the power is. For a heavy, daily driver, tq>hp IMHO (well, I should say a smooth dyno curve with good low-end torque to be more precise).

After all, this isn't a race car -- if it was, I would choose something else. Something much lighter to start with.

Good point.

But I also intend to track the G37, so HP is where most of my concern is.

Either way, a good bump is torque should also make my daily driving more enjoyable.
