I brought an infinity key for my 2012 G37, and the dealership said they'll program it, but they don't want to mess up the BCM. And all the information I see online, says, the key fob, it won't mess up the BCM. The fob just may be a lacking proper communication to the BCM. Has anyone heard of the key fob messing up the BCM?

They can. I use them https://www.batteriesplus.com/servic...ob-replacement. I just get a used oem fob from eBay and have them program it. Pre covid they only used to charge $35. Like $85 now.
