passenger and back windows & top won't go down
passenger and back windows & top won't go down
My 2014 Q60 top will not operate nor any window other than the driver's window. I've checked the window lock on the driver's side panel. When pressing the top's open/close button it doesn't make a sound nor any warning lights. I also checked the passenger window switch and it doesn't operate from that switch either. Also, when the passenger door is opened, the window does drop the few mm automatically and it goes back up fine when the door is closed.
Any suggestions?

I appreciate you responding.
I tried it on my car and...Even if the door lock switch is on, windows are going down and top is opening when I press the roof switch! So, if it's not the switch itself, You should check fuses(even if the window drop when you open the door).
Other than that, it could be many other things, like a broken wire or sensor but it's outpass my knoweldge. Whis I could help more!!!.

The driver-side "master switch" is the main module for the windows. When you open the roof, a signal is sent via a "local COM link" from the Retractable Hard Top Control Unit (herein RHT/CU) to the driver-side master switch. This signal tells the switch to open the front windows. The RHT/CU directly controls the two rear windows. I can only guess that if the driver-side master is not accepting the signal this is why the rear windows do not open and the roof operation does not initiate.
If, after you check all of the fuses, there is no change, then you may want to consider replacing the driver-side switch. These have a moderately small failure rate but that would be the next step. Unfortunately, because the switch is a microprocessor in itself it would take specialized equipment to properly test the switch which most just do not have.
Wish I had better info. Please keep us updated.

You mentioned opening the passenger door caused the window to drop slightly but not the driver side doing the same thing. Maybe that's a clue concerning the problem originating with the driver's side.
Hi. Just wondering if you ever solved this issue. I've got a 2014 with the exact same thing. All 3 passenger windows won't work, both front windows do drop a bit when opening the doors, roof will not open and no errors or warnings.
I'll be checking the fuses later today.
Thanks.
Paul
