also: i have taken the negative off the battery, pumped the brakes a few times, and let sit for about 10-15 minutes, took off the passenger side door and then hooked the drivers door back up, then the passenger door up, and same result, drivers window stuck down, passenger window works fine

Please clarify: are you referring to the feature where the window lowers slightly when you open the door and raises back up when you close the door (and has since stopped functioning?) If thats the case, its easily fixed. Disconnecting the battery causes the windows memory to reset... or something like that. If that's the case do this:

1. Turn the car off.
2. Press the ignition switch twice so its showing "ON".
3. Completely lower (open) the window.
4. Pull and hold the window switch to close the window. Continue to hold the window switch for 3 seconds after the window has fully closed.
5. Now press the button (so the window automatically lowers).
6. Aaaaand that should fix your problem.

Now, if you mean the window will not move at all, then I cannot be of much assistance. Short of taking it to a garage, I would recommend popping the door panel off and inspecting it for any loose wire connections or something thats disconnected. If you're up for it, take off the passenger panel and compare between the two. Honestly though, I've never taken off the door panel so I don't know whats behind there. Hopefully someone else on these forums can be of assistance.

Good luck.

the window is down completely and WILL NOT GO BACK UP, but I have been thinking, I am about to go out and bypass the switch in the door panel and apply the ground and power to the motor directly and see if i can get the window to go up/down, if not then I know its not a motor issue, if it does then I can check the switch with a power tool (powerprobe3) and if the switch is good, then I know its somewhere between the switch and the motor (computer/wire)

took the window motor off, the switch lets it spin freely down, until I stop it, but it still won't roll the window up, so while I had the motor off I decided to roll the window up manually, , I did this but as soon as I closed the door, the window rolled 3/4 of the way down….WTF is up with these cars?

Try cleaning the motor maybe? See this thread from the g35 forums. Search for "CLEANING PHASE OF THE MOTOR".

Let me know if it works out.

Edit: It seems owners of the Z also have this window motor issue. Cleaning it reportedly does the trick but is only a temporary fix. Replacing the motor is the best option.
Edit 2: Oh, and in case you're wondering, there is no window fuse.

incorrect, it is a fuse located in the battery compartment of my 08 G37S, however, there are a few things that make a difference, not sure what fixed it, but between, taking apart both doors, cleaning all the connections/terminals, wiggling the wires, etc, i got the issue figured out, then did the retrain (rolling the window down then up and holding the switch for 5 seconds, then using the auto function) and its back to normal….

still have the whistle at 65+mph, monday morning I am going to a body shop to get some professional eyes on it and get it fixed….

Just checked the fuse box, you're right, there is a fuse. My mistake.

I also own an '08 G37S and I have the same whistle. Mine appears to be coming from the passenger side door though. Out of curiosity, mind letting me know what the body shop did (if they manage to fix the issue). Thanks!

I am taking it there on Monday, I was a mechanic before joining the military and I have no fear of tackling tasks, but when it comes to body work, its best to take it to someone who has the "eye" for it and can see any imperfections a mile away and who does it for a living the guy told me it would take about 1-1.5hrs and he would be able to fix it, I will see if i can watch him do the work and report back on monday or tuesday
