Wheel Offsets on Sport

Wheel Offsets on Sport

Okay, so the stock wheel step for the Sport is :

Front: 19 X 8.5 , 43mm offset
Rear: 19 X 9.0 , 45mm offset

I am considering going with a set of 4 that is 19 X 8.5, 40mm offset, all around....

Just wondering if that 3-5mm difference is gonna make it touch the calipers, or if removing the staggering is gonna cause me some unforeseen suspension or tire wear issues.

Any feedback is appreciated

Caliper clearance will solely be based on the specific wheel model and sizing. The general 19x8.5 +40 isn't enough information to know for clearance since two wheels can have the same specs but different clearances.

Example: Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 +38 wont' clear and needs a spacer, but Gramlight 57CR 18x9.5 +38 will clear. Both have the same width and offset but the spoke profile are designed different.

What wheel model are you considering?

for tires, since the offset is on the conservative side, I'd actually suggest going with a 255/45R18 tire. This will provide a meaty look, is a 27" diameter tire so it will fill the gaps all around better and is still around what oem diameter is, meaning your speedo isn't affected.
A 255/45R18 is within the ETRTO/TRA approved rim sizing.

i am so sorry, my mind was thinking of another thread. please disregard that comment about the tires. 18' vs 19' is just preferences so if you like 19", stick with 19"

but on the topic of tires, you can do a 255/40R19 on that 19x8.5 +40
