vert top stops mid-open SOMETIMES
vert top stops mid-open SOMETIMES
only had the vert for about a 1000 miles, top has been working without issues. 2-3 months ago the battery died and after having it replaced things were acting up (window wasn't going down then back up after opening/closing door but window relearn fixed that), and i also had the top get stuck once putting it down. it seemed like the flipper arms were catching, but turning the car off and back let me move the arms a few inches by pressing the open button each time. after 6-8 times the arms fully opened up and the rest of the opening procedure finished without issue. closing it again had no issues, then i opened again with no issues.
fast forward to today and the same issue happened with the flippers catching. Same process above worked again, but this time i took it to the dealer thinking i would need a top re-learn done. i show up with the top down, they take it back, and 10 minutes later they bring it back out saying the top is working without issue. i get it, test it, no problems, no charge.
anyone know what's going on? is there a mechanical piece getting ready to fail - flipper gear or something else? - or do i need a top re-learn done?
Thanks

It's possible that your flapper gear(s) is(are) failing.
Check out this thread. Guy might be able to tell you for sure if you catch the issue on the video.
