Those could be hydraulics or it could have been a loss of battery. The only way to tell for sure is to connect CONSULT and clear the codes the start moving parts of the top. If it's a hydraulic pump then the trunk lid will not move. If it's just a learning problem you can use CONSULT to get the top back into the closed state and perform a relearn. It seems your shop doesn't have a clue about these cars.

Sorry, that's a little farther than I can come to help. It's been a long time since I was in that part of the world. But I have some links on the forum here on using and purchasing consult. If you are technical at all I highly recommend it.

Make the Beep Stop!
found by taking out the number 15 fuse in the little fuse box under the hood of the car it’s pink and it is all the way to the left of the box closest to the front of
the car. It’s a little square fuse . Pull that out the beep goes away.
Note-
You will lose the ability to unlock your trunk and rolling the little triangle windows up and down until you put the fuse back in.
So I suggest keeping your windows up til you put the fuse back in.

g37 top problems
would like any info or part number for sensor on 2010 g37 that tells computer where top is at all times and info on computer to purchase for relearning and code removal our top has basically all the problems I have read on threads but are intermittent ranging from top stopping during opening process in different states to top down for hours then start car to leave and top in operation with loud beep to locking up and will not go up or down or trunk in operation ANY AND ALL INFO APPRECIATED

Hello, I have a 2010 Infiniti g37 convertible and the convertible roof does not close, it only makes a beep beep, when I drive it constantly stays beep and on the screen it shows roof in operation until I stop, I saw some videos that indicate that it must be given a relearn , I took him to a mechanic, he gave him a relearn but a c2364 code comes out that he does not want to delete and I do not know what it is,the mechanic told me battery is about to die but still starting the car little vague but work fine until now,in other posts that I read change the battery for a new one works only for about 3 weeks and then start the problem again, i don't know if apply to my case,someone who has happened the same thing that tells me what to do please since I want to avoid taking it to the dealer because it very expensive,there will be somewhere where all those codes are found? Thanks in advance
did you check if your sides flaps are tights and all folded in(close position)?...That's one of symptoms when you got the top stopping in middle cycle or the message "top in operation" in the cluster as the beep...
