Shocks and Struts

Has anyone found a good set of shocks and struts for the vert? I tried ordering some from amazon but the fronts didn't fit. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't help a lot but all ik is the car surprisingly has weird different fitment for multiple parts
at least what people gave info on when trying to fit exhausts or bumpers/defusers
am surprised u faced an issue with the front not the rear
i would suggest visiting a shop that has multiple options to check out IRL and get it done to save time and money

My trunk is very hard to lift, does that mean I need new shocks? Also what do you all mean by vert? Thanks.

The trunk is heavy be default, is it heavier than it used to be?
I think a safeway of saying it needs to be replaced if it doesn't hold up when fully opened (be careful)
vert is short for convertible

So I haven’t had the car very long and it’s been hard to lift since I got it to be honest. Maybe that is just how it is. It takes effort to lift, I though maybe new shocks would make is raise easier with less effort but it that is how they all are I guess it would be a waste spending money on new parts if it’s just gonna be the same. The shocks do hold the trunk up just fine once I lift it all the way up. I feel like I am pulling against the shocks to lift it, like they don’t lift it fast enough and give me resistance until the truck is all the way up, does that make any sense? I suck at explaining car stuff.

It’s normal don’t panic and don’t go buying parts you don’t need. When you have a moment retract your top half way get out of your car and take a look at all that’s happening to make that top go down. You don’t want to start messing with that.

it’ll never be as smooth and easy as a regular car just got to deal with it and never be rough with it. Impatience with the trunk components can cost you thousands in repairs.

I have owned 2 infiniti convertibles plus g sedans and g/q coupes. You’ll learn as you go but don’t panic all is fine.

the convertible is pretty much a completely different car from the windshield back. Front struts from a coupe work fine, the rear are different, and shopping for them is confusing.

If you have a base or Journey the part number is E6210-JJ52A. Don’t put these on a Sport, it will bounce like a rubber ball. Ask me how I know. 😀 I believe the Sport part number is the same only ends in KNK. I’ll let you know.

there is very little aftermarket suspension support for verts. BC Racing currently makes a strut, shock and spring kit. It lowers the car a minimum of about 1/2 inch, as best I can tell.

Honestly just put the top down it’ll lower the back of the car by an inch and will save you the headache and money finding ones that fit 🤣
