I got my g37 2012 about two months ago and have been following a lot of the discussions. I haven’t had any issue with my car until today. I put the top down and it all of a sudden it wouldn’t go back up. When I shut it off and try it again the driver side flap doesn’t go up at all. It can be seen through the picture below. It’s as if it’s stuck or something but the right side does go up and then freezes. I think it freezes so it doesn’t break the top.

I then shut the car off to reset the computer and I open the top completely that way it all flattens out. I then access the trunk and it opens fine but when I try to close the top again it’s no good. Please tell me what is wrong with my top. Please help thank you

Having held down the close button until it doesn’t freezes this is the max the driver side goes up.

did you disconnect your battery and try it again (while the car is running)?

 

I got this fix a wile back. I brought it to the dealer and they were able to open it. I apparently left my book bag in the trunk and put the top down. It threw the top off its railings so I had to get it readjusted and programmed.

It cost me $500 and it was fixed all in the same day.
