Hi guys, i had problems to with my flap gears, try to repair twice but plastic dont last longer than couple months. So i finaly decide to go to a machine shop and ask them to make me metal gears, cost couples $$$ due to ingenering but worth the money, they made me 5 gears( 3 for the left side and 2 for the right side) two of them are partial without the small center gear and two others are complete ( i install de fifth one to replace the worn left side gear. I send picture of 2 gears ( left and right) . If someone is interested, i can sell 2 complete or partial gears for about 300$(each)+ shipping...im in Québec, Canada. The one i install work great ans im sure this one will last compare to the cheap plastic oem.

Please, please, pleaseee tell me you still have both of these available. Would love to make it happen!
No I don’t, this is one that came off my car (LH) that I just replaced with all metal.
Guy that posted the metal replacements above just took a good one into a machine shop to get his made.
I would suggest doing the same or someone could make a design drawing off the on that I have. But you would still have to source it at a machine shop.
New to the forum and forums in general, so I apologize for the learning curve. I'm looking for a passenger side gear. The driver side works thankfully atm. A drawing would be a great idea, I've recently acquired a cnc, and could try machining one out if given the specs. On the other hand, we could go in as a group buy if there are others interested?
OK guy's, many of you seems interested to get replacement gears for convertible flap gears. Like i said in numerous previous posts, i find a machine shop who was willing to machine metal replacement gears for me. I replace both side on my 2011 vert g37. They work as great as new oem ones but, they are most durable than the cheap plastic oem.
Some of you ask me if i got more in stock. I sell the one left that i had but, others were instrested to get one or two so, i ask my guy to made more for me. I have 6 (3 right and 3 left ) in production. 3 of them are already sold. I'm not sure if i'll be able to get some more machined so.

I bought two of the replacements from Guy and they are coming in the mail - can't wait! I was wondering if anyone has taken a video or some pictures when they replaced the gears?
I found a mechanic locally that was willing to do the installation - after reading the Newbie with Flipper trouble - and using the parts purchased from Guy. For both sides installed, I will have spent~$1k instead of the $4k that the dealer quoted. It is great to have the convertible working again and now I'm not worried about that part wearing out in 5 years again! I only wish I had the guts to try the installation myself but I know my limits.
My passenger side flipper door is stuck and it sounds like the same issue everyone else is having. Do you guys know how many gears are on the right passenger side and is it easy to switch out?
