Dash Cam question

I've been considering the idea of installing a small dash cam.
Has anyone done this on their vert? If so, how difficult was it to remove the interior riser on the "A" pillar?

Thanks.

Its not difficult to remove. If you're sitting in the seat, just pull it up and towards you. Its easiest if you start towards the top of the cover.

HOWEVER, you don't need to remove the pillar cover in order to run the wires. You can easily slide the wire under the cover with it installed. The most difficult part to work with is the liner along the top of the windshield. Its much stiffer than a coupe or sedan's headliner, so it can take some force to hide wires, GPS units, or a 12v to 5v hardwire adapter up there.

Btw, a dash camera is an excellent idea.

Exactly what bigc said. I suggest getting the BlackVue front and rear dash cams. It's what I got and they're amazing.

You can see pictures of mine on page 2 of this thread.

I agree with you removing the a-pillar. That way you can secure the wire else wise you may end up having yet another rattle. I did the wire slide in a ford focus and it just rattled to beat the band.

As for the camera itself, that's going to be a difficult choice as most of them are not built well and the software often sucks. Research the reviews(I use Amazon) especially the negative reviews since they are more honest than 5 stars.
