Are the wheels hub-centric? When I got some BBS wheels they weren't as smooth as the stock wheels, but the barrel was supposed to be stock size.

Most wheels use a larger barrel and you use a plastic insert to make it fit correctly on the car. That's called a "hub centric ring" make sure they have that one.

Another thing is if the wheel balance they are using is out of spec, it might be that. Find a wheel shop that has the newest balancer.

I have Hub Rings in place, but I am considering purchasing replacements. THe wheels were balanced by three different shops. The last was a dealership so I doubt there machine is out of spec.
