Top Rattles and Vossen Wheel Issue.
Top Rattles and Vossen Wheel Issue.
So I went to my local dealer to have some Maintaince done on the vert, and to look into my dreadful Vossen Wheel issue. I figured while I was there I would mention my Rattles coming out of the top when driving over uneven roadways.
As for the Vossen Wheel issue (CV1's). Re-balanced (3rd time), Got a Wheel Alignment, Replaced two front Wheel bearings, replaced the front wheels three times, replaced front tires.
Vibration and shaky wheel still present at highway speeds especially over 60, and low humming still there (Thinking center caps are rubbing on inside causing hum). So after replacing the front wheels three times, replacing front tires, replacing wheel bearings on a car with 10k in mileage, I still have a noise, I still have a vibrating and shaky steering wheel. My axles where also checked. I give up and I am gonna drive the car the way it is because I purchased these wheels twice already and I am not rich to keep doing a trial and error replacing s*it. I have eliminated the car as the issue at this point. This does not happen with Stock setup obviously.
For the top Rattles and squeeks: Infiniti has posted a bulletin on November 12th with a fix which makes use of some sort of Felt??? to correct the rattles.I was unable to copy the bulletin to post it for you guys to look at. Infiniti is aware of the issues. Apparently I was the first vert the dealer performed the fix on and in all honesty the noise is considerably less even though I can still hear a slight creak every now and then. That is to be expected though so no worries and I am quiet pleased.
So for all you vert guys/gals complaining about your Top rattling. Bring it in as there is now a fix.

yeah I definitely want to find that rattles link, will need to bring it with me if I go to the dealer with my rattles. went before to see it I could get my leather seat wrinkles fixed and wasn't able to quote what fixes ppl had done before for it... it's still not fixed...
I spent money I didn't have, replaced almost everything except use a different brand tire. No clue man. Car was put on I guess a better then your average tire balancer and it came back with "Road Force" don't know what that is, but it doesn't account for the vibration in my steering wheel.
