plastidip results (everyone's doing it)

Since I did not remove the trunk lid it's not all the way perfect on stripping off the rubber in two areas as a little of the silver is showing. The fun thing is I can always redo it.

The vert trunks don't have the little handle inside for closing it like the coupes and sedans?

How much did it cost to do plasti-dip? To be honest my friend this plastidip does not look nice at all, looks like a big black smudge.. get the integrated antenna spoiler as suggested by cruzmisl

 

Interesting - You should do the antenna nubbin so they match.

 

Yeah, it's just not in the cards right now.

Actual cost was less than 9 bucks (1 can plus 10ftx20ft plastic drop cloth)

If it was free right now, I'd take it The cards just don't see a spoiler this year.

I wish I could help.. if you don't listen to the radio then you can get rid of the antenna with smurfy and replace it with plane satellite Radio Antenna ( which I can get you for only $100 including cap in VR color), MSRP is $260 and you can get the spoiler next year.

it looks pretty good actually... but it might be my personal bias against anything chrome... I think if you got bluebats tail overlays or got the rear lights painted... it would flow a little better maybe... but i can't wait to see your emblems after you plastidip them! keep us posted.. haha

 

hey guys, i've been out for a week and now have come back to a number of threads of "plasti-dip" WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?! Are we spraying our $35-$40K cars with a $6 can of plastic?

 

Yep, I've joined the craze! I want to see the overlays installed on a vert before I decide on that and a GTR style. Will update this as I get around to it.
