That sounds like too much but it's just a guess.....

I just called a dealership near me, and a representative asked the sales manager about the 7AT. Apparently he said that the 7AT will ONLY be available on convertible model that rolls out in February. Is this true? This really doesn't make sense to me.

My local dealer said that an AWD model will be out this fall/winter with a hardtop retractable following in February. No mention of the 7AT, but would make sense for Infiniti to debut it around the same time.

the regular g37 sedan is going to have the 7AT... don't see how the coupe in all its forms wouldnt get the 7AT as well. we'll know soon enough officially.

Keep in mind that the Sedan's resell value is lower, and doesn't look nearly as sexy as the coupe. Pretty much looks like your everyday run of the mill sports sedan.

Expect the price diff between the G37 sedan and coupe to be less than the current G35/ G37.
Never really thought coupes should be more than the sedan equivalent. Seems four doors would cost more. Ah, whateva, still like the style of the coupe better. And I'm a dad with four kids...

i agree. It would seem that sedans would cost more (especially since sedans usually sell more than coupes). Like you said tarkus, oh well.

I just caught the dealership ordering guide for the G37 sedan and it is confirmed in there that it will feature the 7AT. It will also feature the "self healing" paint from the current EX and future '09 FX. Look for the same Sport calipers on the coupe to appear on the new sedan in addition to dial-type seat heater switches. New wheels are coming too, though I haven't seen pictures. No more trunk mounted 6-disc changer and bye bye IP and Desert Platinum to bring in Moonlight White and Sahara Sandstone respectively. Auto locking door locks for once is now standard too.

We'll have to wait until at the least the end of this month for the dealers to get their ordering guides for the '09 coupes; I'm thinking more like beginning of July.

Dave, what about the coupe? I had a dealership confirm the 7AT on the convertible, but still speculation (although likely scenario) on the '09 Coupe? You must of heard something as customers will keep hampering dealerships
