^^ Word from our District Operations Manager for our store is that it is due to launch as early as February 2009 and they don't know just yet about a 7AT for that vehicle just yet. I'm sure corporate knows about the '09 coupe, but they're tight lipped about it right now, however we'll all know within 4 - 5 weeks when the dealer ordering guides are available.

Look for the same Sport calipers on the coupe to appear on the new sedan in addition to dial-type seat heater switches. New wheels are coming too, though I haven't seen pictures. No more trunk mounted 6-disc changer and bye bye IP and Desert Platinum to bring in Moonlight White and Sahara Sandstone respectively. Auto locking door locks for once is now standard too.

We'll have to wait until at the least the end of this month for the dealers to get their ordering guides for the '09 coupes; I'm thinking more like beginning of July.
If one orders an 09 G37 sedan today, what is the expected delivery date?

Technically, no dealer can order them until next week but the guide is more to inform the stores how to mix the options and colors for inventory. Just so happens that it was chock full of additional information on the new sedan, however expect to see them in dealerships toward the end of August. If you order one, figure middle of September or so.

This is great. The odds of the sedan and convertible having the 7A and the coupe a 5A are slim to none. So many choices, so much time........

i agree, very little if any pearl to it, moonlight white looks pretty much like a straight white paint.

wow no pearl??? they could have offered both, similar to what Lexus does with its Glacier Frost and Starfire Whites. I might miss out on the 7AT but I'm glad I got the color I wanted. Or am I just lying to myself

Doesn't make sense about the IP color being discontinued since it was one (if not the most) bestselling color. Although the moonlight white color is cool too. It's just like the color on the new Audi S5.

My first choice color was Liquid Platinum, however they did not have any 6MT on the day I struck a deal, and I did not want to wait. I ended up with Platinum Graphite, which the more I look at the more I like, especially with the contrast against the stock sport 19's.

I'd love it if they discontinued my color; would make my car more exclusive on the road!

If you're referring to the change from Ivory Pearl to Moonlight White, it will be the same Moonlight White as in the 2008 M series.

Interesting thought indeed. I'll bet that probably is the reason why.

Regarding the G35 V G37 performance comparison I moved it to the other car comparisons because it was getting off topic
