Dan, my shock sensor won't work. I have pounded on my car and no alarm sounds. Any help?

 

Try a tire iron. Smash out the back window, and then if it dosen't work, report back.

Ok...have to clarify what a resonance sensor is as many folks have asked.

A shock sensor detects hard thumps

A titlt sensor detects you car being jacked up or towed

A resonance sensor is a sensor that can be mounted anywhere and picks up high pitched sound frequencies associated with metal...like slim jims or what not. Its a tiny sensor that will pick up the sound (wont pick up simple hand to glass or hand to metal sounds but rather the meatl on metal or metal on glass frequencies). It does not cover the whole car. You can install one on the headlights and if the theif starts to mess with the headlights..it'll go off. You can stick it inside the door panel and it will pick up slim jims, the door handle being lifted and trying to be opened. You can stick it in the trunk if you have an expensive system, etc... But again...a single unit wont protect the whole car...just specific areas.

A proximity sensor is a sensor to detect movement inside the vehicle.



We can get any and all forms of security equiptment for you guys. It just started as a shock sensor deal, but can get whatever you need to protect your car.

tedruxpin i am not sure what you and jason have talked up about as for as the tilt sensor so i didnt ship yours.

 

I'm making my payment right now, especially after finding that my other car, a beater Honda Civic, had its HU taken sometime in the past couple days. ARGH! Don't want that to happen to the G.

Can you get me a proximity sensor? I didnt see a price posted yet for that.

Here's my thought: the stock system covers doors and hood opening. Trunk *should* be bust proof since there isn't an external lock. But someone can smash and grab, or screwdriver the lock and lower the windows. Shock sensor should cover the smash and grab, but the proximity sensor should cover if the thief manages to roll down the window without disturbing the shock sensor.......
