FGC- Behind the scenes (a MUST READ!)
FGC- Behind the scenes (a MUST READ!)
As of now the Florida G35 Club is made up of 36 members!
For those of you who wonder what goes on "behind the scenes" let me give you a little insight.
First we have Wes (Dabomb aka beastie and poker shark) who has put forth more individual effort than I would have ever thought possible. He is helping make our new website, he is working on firming up his first sponsor (that is if I didn't screw everything up
), he's also looking into finding a company that can host our website, he has helped in creating the T-Shirts, he has helped in making the "Club Membership Cards", and that's all that immediately comes to mind. I'm sure he has a few more tricks up his sleeve too!
We also have Jeff (PlatG aka web host, first club sponsor, and creator of the now famous phrases “I’m all in” and “5:00-ish sharp”!) who in a pinch threw together the best sponsor grabbing website that I could have ever hoped for. He immediately used his own funds to reserve our domain name and generously offered his own personal server to host our club web page. He's made countless "updates" to the site and has been a real asset to the inception of this club.
Equally important is my close personal friend Ian (Demonteverde321 aka Doritos freak). He has put countless hours into getting quotes for the club t-shirts, helping Wes with the website, worked on the t-shirt logo layouts and he's done everything else asked of him.
Just when we thought that we had a handle on everything, along comes g8tor20.
BOY WERE WE IN FOR AN AWAKENING! 501c7 yes, llc no, board of directors, officials elected/appointed, club charter, blah-blah-blah. I honestly don't know how this club would have ever gotten off the ground w/o him!
THEN there are our SPONSORS! As of now we have firm commitments from Lokey Infiniti, Crawford Z Car, ISI, KP Technologies and Zaino! We’ve worked out a deal for our club members that they can purchase vehicles at $500 over invoice ALL DAY LONG! They can get $60 off of the purchase of a clear bra and can get discounts on the KP Technologies module installs!!!
Not bad for a club that doesn’t officially start until March 5th, 2005.
And lastly there is YOU! I’m talking about the people who post in the threads, the people who pay for “Charter Membership Status” to a club that hasn’t “officially” started yet, the people who are donating money for raffle tickets and the raffle isn’t until March 5th! You are the true heart of the club and I’d like to thank each and every one of you who has put forth the trust and faith in “us” to make this club all that it presently is.
So in closing, I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved in getting this club on its feet. Wes your help especially has been tremendously appreciated and everyone else is doing a GREAT JOB! I hope the rest of you will take a minute out of your schedule to send a PM to the people that have made this club possible and please remember to support our sponsors! Just drop the words “Florida G35 Club” by each and every one of them that you do business with. It will be the BEST way that each and every club member can support this great car club!

JDM you can always get more involved, trust me there's enough work for everyone
I've been pulling 80-hour work weeks just like everybody else! Many thanks to all 3 of you at the top and especially to Lokey, this club has been a great experience so far. I'm learning new things around it everyday, for example how to pronounce "Oviedo"

Well Todd I appreciate the kind words as Im sure Jeff and Ian do too but, this is the perfect place to add my thanks to people who have made my jobs easier.
First, off all those people who helped design any images for both the T-shirt and website. Finiti, JDM, and Sean immediately come to mind!!!
Secondly I have had many people offer to help with the webpage or toss out ideas...EACH AND EVERY ONE will be accepted and I thank you all...even if its just an idea all of you are welcome to PM me...I can probably make it happen. Or if you yourself have webdesign skills PM me with what you would like to add to the site and if I can factor it in (if Todd lets me add it
). Some that have already helped are Loafy, Shetyamout, Driven, Redwillow, and probably some others that my feable mind has forgotten about!
Thanks to everyone I mentioned and everyone I didnt. If you havent helped and would like to...PM me!
AND THANK YOU TODD...you have done more than all of us combined!!!

You guys are doing a GREAT!
Without you guys this wouldn't exist.
I have not been around as much the past couple of weeks, but if I can do anything let me know. PM is probably my best attention getter.

I also wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to this club. Thank you, to those who have helped put forth designs & comments for the t-shirts. Thank you, for the members who have helped setup the website and who have thrown in some good ideas for it. Thanks to the people involved with the sponsors. And a BIG Thank You to Todd for getting the ball rolling and starting this club. If you didn't do it, we'd all be talking about how nice it would be to be part of a G35 car club instead of being in one.
We all have separate lives outside of the association with our cars and I know it can be a strain/time consuming putting things together for this club while balancing what goes on our daily lives, but I definately think it is all worth it. I really appreciate everyone who has spent time helping this club get on its feet. And I'm sure come March 5th, we will all see the fruits of out labor.
