Before you lowered the car, did you check to make sure that the adjustment nut wasn't shifted all the way back?

Didn't really mess with the nut. I just tightened it down and figured when I went in for an alingment they would adjust it. Should I move it all the way back towards the engine?

when they raise the car on the alignment machine it lifts the body only and causes the tires to hang low & then they can reach the nut. I dont think its meant to be adjusted when the wheels are carrying load
