Invidia Gemini Exhaust (09 G37 Coupe) + PICS

Thanks to Lou@Amplified for getting my Invidia Gemini to me quickly. I had planned a few days of vacation and wanted to get it installed while on my vacation and Lou was able to get it to me in perfect timing.

Review:

Amplified Motorsport
I've purchased from Amplified before this. Never had a bad experience, but this one was especially great. I worked solely with Lou on this and he was very prompt to my inquiries, processing my order, and helping to make sure I had it on time. While I sometimes feel the need to follow-up with vendors on progress of the order to ensure I get it on time, I didn't feel the need to with Amplified. Excellent experience, as always!!! Thanks guys! Keep up the good work.

Packaging
Coming from the west coast all the way to the east coast, I'm picky about product packaging. The Invidia was packaged in a very durable box and packaged well with foam and each piece wrapped separately. Each part was labeled as well which was helpful. I didn't have to think in doing the install. For less experienced users, a diagram may be helpful, but I was fine without it.

Quality
I had my neighbor help me with the install. He owns a shop so it was nice to be able to toss the car up on the rack for easy install. I knew before purchasing that this was a quality product. The welds are perfect and overall it looks great. As a professional in the business, he was very impressed with the quality and even more impressed with how easy it was to install. Fitment was perfect (my car is 6MT with 4WAS). Absolutely no clearance issues whatsoever.

Sound
First let me say that I'm not a fan of loud exhausts. In fact, I was perfectly happy with OEM but since my car is slammed, my OEM front pipe has scraped a few too many times and I had messed up the flex pipe. So instead of repairing, I gave in to a new aftermarket exhaust. The Invidia Gemini has the perfect sound for me. The sound is a deep and solid. No rasp whatsoever. After hearing this, I actually think OEM has some rasp.... or maybe the OEM just didn't feel as "solid". The Invidia is noticeabily louder but not overpowering. Sounds great with windows up and down. I've very pleased with my choice.

Performance
Well, according to the butt dyno, I think it improved low-end acceleration. Going from 2-3 seems quicker where before I think there was a lag. It could just be in my head and if so, I'm fine with it. There definitely wasn't a negative impact on performance, lol. I wasn't buying this exhaust expecting "X" increase in WHP.

Overall
Couldn't be happier!!! Everything went so right with this purchase from the initial talks with Lou, the install, to driving it down the road. I still have a smile on my face. No regrets whatsoever.

^ Thanks!

I should have a clip tomorrow or this weekend at the latest. Weather is crazy in ATL and video didn't come out well in the garage.

Wait, did I read that right? You think you LOST performance as a result of adding this exhaust?? I don't get it, this is the one I was thinking of getting because of performance ,sound, and weight savings. Should I be considering the stillen system instead??

Good catch... Mean to say "wasn't" and not "was".

There was not a performance loss.

I tried today and the video camera on my camera sucks ****! It is all distorted.

I have not heard magnaflow in person, but I've heard it is kinda raspy.

Thanks for the review. Heard NeverBoneStocks Invidia and between that and your post sounds like correct choice for me.

Do you have sounds/videos with these exhaust with our without HFC/or intakes. I was looking to get the tanabe muffler. Does the tanabe muffler have more deeper tone, than the entire setup of the invidia gemini. I heard tanabe muffler has a little more deeper tone to it. but the invidia gemini is the best bang for you buck.

Thanks! ! ! ! !! !
