G37 noisy radiator fan

Hi, new-ish jap import Skyline 370 owner from Finland here. I noticed one of the radiator fans is making a squeaking noise while winding down just before it stops, after the engine has already turned off. I guess this means it will eventually stop working. Which bring me to my question:

What brand of fan should I look for? I see people selling the whole OEM fan shroud assembly on Ebay for ~200$. Is this an ok deal? Does Mishimoto or some other company offer an alternative? Should I replace the whole assembly at once (2 x fans, shroud and motors)? Appreciate the help

Buy a whole assembly and look out for an assembly that brings the fan module with it (square little box).
Both fans inter change and since the assembly is "kind of" part of the radiator support some one will need it at one point.
I've found a few between $60-$80 range. I say to look out for the module since having a spare one of these is always good to have.
In my vehicle I ended up replacing the fan motor and kept the other assembly for spare parts.

Welcome to the forum, Finland!

I can only share from my experience having replaced the fans back in 12/2017 on my 2008 Coupe...

Long story short, I had both fan motors dying at roughly the same time... later dissection showed dried out grease and a ton of beach sand which ruined the bearings.

I found a used 2016 370Z fan shroud assembly complete with both fans, motors, and module off eBay for $150. I paid a "premium" as I wanted the "newest" used part available at the time. Total install time was less than one (1) hour. There are plenty currently on eBay for cheap, though with international shipping that may not be cost effective.

It is easier to just replace the whole assembly as you have to go through all of the work of removing the old unit even if you just wanted to replace the motor.

New OEM motors will cost at least $100-250USD EACH! depending on seller...being in Europe your suppliers prices will vary. OEM p/n's: 21487-JK60E & 21487-JK61A.

If you are skilled, you could always remove your existing fan motors, take them apart, and clean/ grease the internals. Only downside to this is if the motor brushes are too worn down, then motor replacement will be required.
