While sitting in my 09 G37 S I listened to some music. I activated the car to the on position without starting it several times as I was trying to get the music to play without being in the full on position. I had just drove the car without any problems and parked it. After 10 minutes or so of music, in the on position, I turned the car off and returned to work. After completing work the car started and ran for 2-3 seconds and then died. I again tried to restart, same result. OBDII shows a code of P2101 Throttle actuator control. The car was running perfect prior to parking it. Find it hard to believe that anything could have broke after I turned it off after driving. Any suggestions before I have to have it towed to the dealership?

You may just need to do the idle relearn procedure.

I believe the fact that you went into the on position several times without starting the car may had put it into the pedal relearn position.Not sure it you hit the pedal or not while on the on position. But I think if you do it more that two times with a 2 sec break you can hear the butterfly valves in the throttle body move which puts you in learning mod. Hope that helps.

 

Thank you. I thought about that also, not sure if I depressed the gas pedal at the time. I reviewed the video and went through the relearn steps, on for 2+ off for 10, and repeat. This didn’t fix the problem, after it didn’t start/fire at all.
