Beeping issue when placed into park

Hey guys I’ve been having some problems with my 09 g37 which are kinda making me regret buying the car. I have a problem right now and really need some help. Every time I put the car into park, and shut the car off and close the door the car starts beeping telling me to put the car in park even though the car is already in park!!! I have no idea why this is happening and it’s really stressing me out I’ve disconnected the cars battery which was the only way to make it shut up. I really need help does anyone know why this issue is happening.

Mod edit:
More meaningful title.

It's the proximity sensor for key fob, replace fob battery

damn how many problems do you have with the car you bought? oil pressure issue and now remote key issue. it may be as simple as the battery or perhaps some other electronic fault with a sensor or module. take your car to a shop and have your complaints looked at physically by a qualified tech if you are not mechanically savvy or know what you are doing. people here can all give you their best advise but again its advice no one is physically looking and diagnosing your car. spend the money

I’m just posting to see if anyone else has dealt with this issue hoping they could help figure out what the problem would be. Just in case it’s something small it would be pointless going to a mechanic when you someone would just be able to tell what’s wrong and I’d just replace or fix it myself.

This happened to me YEARS ago after I installed a aftermarket shift knøb. The problem was that the shift interlock switch was not opening when I released the shifter button/placed the car in park (hence that rapid annoying beeping). The solution for me was to raise the shift knøb a few millimeters and I have not had a problem since.

To those with a OEM shift knøb, I would remove it and see if the interlock shaft moves fully and freely. If all seems right and still the problem persists, you may have to remove the interlock switch assembly (white/clear plastic box w/ green circuit board) and clean the contacts. You do NOT have to remove the shifter assembly from the car. It is a tight fit but you can get in there and fix the issue. There are only two phillips head screws mounting the interlock to the shifter body.

Thanks a lot I appreciate it. I’m gonna try that

I got this problem for a second time on my 09 Auto sedan. Def hoping this works. Just thinking spray contact cleaner and maybe a light brushing with qtip. (Sound good enough) a good cleaning. Hate she's down. It's set up for corners band enjoy thoughing it around in open parking lots once and a while. She's how I blow off steam. needed Usually Just a landrover Sport. Its not beat or even driven normally. An 09 with 80,000 miles. She's got a lot invested in her. Custom flat top and bottom steering wheel and newer interior. It's sentiental. But I bought her new after owning 3 G35's but shortly after an to injury left my g37 neglected. This time she just sat 4 months this time. Time will tell hope this tip works. If it does I owe you. Last time I was told it required an entire shifter assembly. So I did that by myself in my driveway but they're not expensive. Wonder if the 14 auto sedans are interchangable. Maybe they fixed that issue.
