Felony charges placed for HFC?

so i just put on my FI Exhaust and who woulda guessed it, but i already got pulled over lol but not for speeding. apparently i'm too loud already or so he claimed. the guy thought i had HFC's, which havent been installed yet, but that's not the point. the guy says something about there potentially being a 1500-2000 dollar ticket if i actually had them on. is this guy just trying to kick me from the side, or is there actually some truth behind this possible charge now? everyone i know so far who got pulled over just got a fix it for their HFC's. i'm almost wondering whether or not to put mine on at this point.....

Well the law did change in California on Jan 1st, 2009 that no shops were allowed to sell HFCs to any resident of CA. Maybe that has something to do with it.

touching cats is illegal in cali. if you touch your cats I believe they can Tow your car, impound etc etc.

my suggestion is sell your HFC's or return them. they are illegal to sell now in Cali as well by anyone

$1500 charge to HAVE them on??!? that sucks. If that's really the case, i wouldn't mod my car, i would hate paying a ticket like that. Over here in Florida we don't have all those stupid rules, you should come here!

Felony??? Can't be. I'd love to understand the justification for that being a felony.
