G37 throttle sensor not being recognized

Hi. 09 g37 at dealership now getting throttle bodies replaced (y, $2g+ proctology like experience w 25,000 miles). Anyway, they just called and have replaced all the parts, but cars not running right due to throttle sensors not being recognized. Said it’s some new reprogramming process they are trying to figure out. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks much.

So no ECU reset or other computer program needed? Interesting. Hope they know what they're doing. It's at a Nissan dealership, not Infiniti.

Nope it's not like ecm that has to be coded to your car, and you sure it's the throttle body being bad and not the harness

Day 3 since install. Nissan just called and said that “one of the new throttle sensors was arcing. They were going to put in a new sensor. The service Dept said it was not uncommon. So, this is 2 new throttle bodies ($2600) with sensors included, and one is defective.” We’ll see what happens. I’m highly concerned.

Error Codes-
P2119 (before new throttle bodies)

P2135- after new throttle bodies, with alleged “arcing” of one sensor after replacement

Jesus, might as well have gone with bigger throttle bodies (Rabbit Hole Motorsports, EPS) with that kind of money.

Y. Could almost put a down payment on a house, buy a new car back in 70s. It’s 3 days after the financial commitment/ install, I will be happy if it just cranks up and actually drives at this point. Standards really dropping. 25,000 miles on car, can’t wait til 50,000- prob be $10,000 for throttle bodies.

No, car wouldn’t start, got engine warning light. Went to Nissan dealership who installed new tbs 3 days ago. Not being recognized, then called yesterday and said one of the new ones has a bad sensor so trying another one. I hope to get it back before we are a gas-less society.

Car not starting wouldnt normally start with replacing tb. But since you paid them make sure they sort it out.

Well, we began w new battery, and the starter always worked. It would either start and drive perfectly, or crank up for a second or so and cut off. Finally, the service engine light came on, and got the error code p2119 8 days ago. Seems now they feel 100% that redoing the new defective throttle body will fix it. So it’s gotta be at least a 50% chance that will work. I called INFINITI parts and they said they’ve seen many bad throttle body sensors in replacement Parts. Besides the fact it’s taken 4 days (plus initial 3 day time waiting for parts there), I can’t understand why a car isn’t continually worked on until it’s fixed. This old in and out routine, replace bodies early Tues, then it’s still not working Tuesday PM (after calling me it will ready and my driving an hour to shop). Then getting a few daily failed to repair yet calls Wed and Thurs, and learning car was not being worked on continuously. Today is crunch day. We’ll see what happens.

Mist dealers dont stock them since it's expensive and not a part that goes bad normally
