Phone was paired, worked for a while, now not recognized

Hi. Phone is a Motorola RZR v3, was paired without incident when I took delivery and hands-free/bluetooth worked fine for several weeks. Now, however, the car does not recognize that the phone is present, and I'm not sure what may have happened. I've tried using the phone's and the car's "find device" features, but no luck. From the previous posts on this subject, it sounds more likely to be the phone's fault than the car's. Any ideas on what may be going on and/or how to remedy it without revisiting the dealer? Thanks.

Try restarting your phone. Delete the bluetooth connection and start a fresh one.

Thanks, I'm going to try what you both suggest. I've deleted the phone from the in-car settings, and will go through the pairing process again tonight. I'll post my results.

Out of curiosity, is this a common phenomenon with bluetooth and phones in the G35/37, and/or bluetooth-equipped cars in general? This is my first vehicle with the feature.

Exact same happened to me. I have a Treo.

Just delete the pairing from your phone and then repair it. Took about 2 minutes and works again.

Thanks for the above info as well. I'm kind of relieved that I'm not the only one this has happened to.

I wonder if newer phones are less susceptible to this. My current one is circa 2006.

My blackberry 8330 has been paired to my car since sept/oct of 2008 and I've never had a problem with it hooking up even though the car sits for a week or two at a time without being used (working construction blows sometimes).

I just had the same issue with my one year old LG Env2 (VX9100). It worked fine for a few weeks then suddenly this weekend wouldn't be recognized. I deleted from both the car and phone and went through setup again and after a bit of fiddling it worked, but it seemed to have trouble compared to the first time I did this. If I have problems again I'll reset the phone and see what happens.
