Everyone's fluid is dark. Doesn't really help but there it is. Reman'ed is the easiest way.

What's a new transmission? Like $7k?
you can get used trans from 3.0t q50 for around 1k$. if you try to buy new or will be around 5k$. not sure if all the sensor hookups are the same but you get the idea, it wouldn't be very expensive to buy. plus they are a stronger trans than what came in the g. just look at ebay, plenty of companies selling used trans for around 1k$.

You'll still have to get a dealer involved, the ECU and TCU have to be synched. Doubtful the Q50 trans has the exact same TCU as the G.

Whilst you're getting the 7AT from a 3.0T, may as well grab the 3.0T too!
