I was told to post in this section. So I'm manually moving my post here. I would appreciate anyone's opinion on this matter.
For some reason I'm having a tough time starting my G37. When I try to start it my car shakes a bit and not sure if it's related, but a smell a little fuel in the process of it stalling out.
I've been googling a lot on what the possible issue could be and I was hoping it was something I could take care of. I took my car to the dealer today and they told me it was my cats causing the issue.
Another note, I realized I can get the car to start if I quickly take my foot off the brake and ease it on the accelerator. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

I'm not paying that.
I'm just going to order aftermarket cats and have them installed.
Not looking to buy another car.

 

Before you do anything clean the throttle bodies! Then, if the problem persists, you can investigate further but to a trusted mechanic/shop.

Once you put anything aftermarket on the car the dealer is not going to work with you. Period.

 

If you need cats I have a pair of stock cats lying around.
