What are common issues with 2008 G37 Coupe
I am in the market to buy a used 2008 G37 Coupe Automatic. Could you all list any common issues that I should look for before I buy. Thank you, Robert

1) Front brakes squeal at low speeds in reverse (Mostly in sport models)
2) Seats bubble (Check for this and try to negotiate a lower price or new seats if they are already bubbled)
3) Gas tank doesn't fill, cuts off prematurely
4) Random sqeaking inside the car or windshield popping noise
These are just some problems people have...well not really problems, they're more of annoyances. Not everyone has all of these problems. You could end up with 1, 2, or none of these issues. Personally the gas not filling is really annoying for me but there are "service bulletins" out for all of these issues.
Chances are the previous owner may have got most of these issues fixed or if you are still under warranty you can get them fixed for free. The seat bubbling really annoys a lot of people but personally I think the pros outweigh the cons. Awesome to see you choosing such an awesome car, hope you get it and enjoy it!
Protip: Get the sport

It's such a coincidence, but I recently purchased a 08 g37s like 4 months ago. Recently I started hearing that weird squeaking noise you guys mentioned and the dashboard by instrument cluster is starting to peel off on the sides =(. Any tips or advice on how to fix any of these problems. Should I take my car to dealership to fix the squeaking problem or is that just a common problem with these models? And what can I do about the dashboard? Thanks in advance for any input.

If I don't have a passenger with me sometimes the seatbelt on that side rattles. Have had the drivers side window roll back down to half way a couple times when rolling it up in the auto mode.
Love the car though and hate it when I have to drive anything else......

You can also search for the thread "You know you own a g37 when...". That thread has a lot of answers in this regard as well.
(that might not be the exact title but it's close...it's a good read and a lot of what your looking for is included).

Take it to the dealer. If you are still under warranty, they will replace the intrument panel lid; they did that for me. I don't know what to tell you about the squeaking sound, I don't have that problem.
Most of the issues brought up before are taken care of by the warranty, so to the OP, if the G you want to buy is already out of warranty, check and make sure these things were replaced/ fixed BEFORE you are handed over the key.

I have the driver seat that is bubbling, but the service tech from my dealer told me that it will become red by warranty. My steering wheel is peeling a bit as well, do you think the dealer will approve this as well? Overall the G 37 has proven to be extremely reliable.
