Oil cooler and transmission cooler worth it?

Hi guys, im just wondering if getting these would be a good idea or necessary? I have heard these engines can get the oil reasonably hot due to the VVEL system. My skyline 370GT is stock with the 5AT not the 7AT. I drive in a lot of stop start traffic and i do like to drive spiritedly when i get the chance. Cheers

They are not at all necessary unless you intend to run your car at a track. Even then, the addition trans cooling isn't enough to keep the AT from going into self-preservation mode. I get one twenty minute session with the transmission operating as it should. After that, the TCU starts short-shifting and ignoring down-shift commands. Now, I have the 7AT, the 5AT might be a little more tolerant to heat.

The oil cooler will lengthen your oil change interval if you drive hard a lot.
