I'm going to get an oil and trans cooler installed in a month or so. Has anybody installed the Stillen or GTM coolers?? Thoughts? Warranty Issues?

 

are you having problems with the stock setup?

 

Stillen and GTM I believe just are rebadged aftermarket coolers, but they should get your temps down to where you want them to be.

He is trying to stay out of limp mode

 

If he is tracking his car hard enough to go into limp mode, I'd say there are a few additional mods he should be considering as well.

 

definitely good mods for the car. i overheated my 7at at zdayz in the mountains causing it to upshift on its own in manual mode. wish i had some of these.

I'm getting the gtm oil cooler with my tt setup in a couple weeks.

 

Ya I'm planning on tracking my car in August/September and doing the Redline Time Attack in November...trying to stay out of limp mode and keep my engine healthy. Mike....I've been keeping an eye on my oil level a lot more now Kame_sanjo can you post up your thoughts after install?? Thanks

 

Are you getting any blow by?

Maybe you should consider getting a catch can. If you're getting a lot of blow by, then you're cornering hard enough that you probably should consider a baffled oil pan and/or a sump in addition to the cooler.

(I have no idea where the fvck a sump could go in that engine bay.... might have to relocate the battery to the back or something....)
