I did a transmission flush using BG fluid and equipment on my 2011. I did it at 75k miles. The fluid in the sight glass was very dark brown, almost black. No hint of pink or red coloring at all. I have 84k miles on it now and drives fine.

I still get that random RPM flare that occurs during the 3rd gear to 4th gear shift while the transmission is in the "Drive" mode. Never seem to notice it while manually shifting in "Drive Sport" mode.

A service adviser at my dealership has a 2008 G37 coupe and he also did a BG ATF flush on it almost a year ago. He has 91k miles on it right now and no issues.

I'm not advocating it, just sharing my experience as well as someone else I know.

I was never aware that Nissan actually stated that. That TSB is dated 2007 so it must have been aimed at the earlier 4-5 speed autos. I wonder if it applies to the 7-speed autos that were first introduced in 2009.

My co workers 2008 G37 coupe is a 5AT
My car is 7AT.

 

i think that is when they officially discouraged against trans flushes. so from then on no flush. unless someone can find a bulletin saying they can do it again but i dont think thats the case
